This residential camp is the perfect way to show just how mad you are about hockey!
Bring your A-game, stamina to last 3 intense days and join with a bunch of players from around your region, in what will possibly become a highlight of your holidays!
The camp is designed for Year 7&8 and U15 aspiring hockey players with ability groupings allowing for maximum uptake in the hockey sessions. Off the field, players will take part in raft of fun filled activities.
Headed by Kathy Norman (Central Community Hockey Manager), the camp brings together a group of very talented Central coaches, including Verity Sharland (JBS coach), Pippa Norman (FBS), Joe Hanks (NZ Development Squad and U18 Central Coach) and Steffan Fastier (JBS GK coach)

Future Elite Camp 11-13th December 2016
This year's 3 day residential camp is designed for the hockey stars from the Central Region. This high intensity camp will be held in Hawke’s Bay and is designed to expose our U18 development athletes (15 years and above) to the training methods, techniques and mental toughness required to be a top athlete.
Greg Nicol, Camp Head Coach and Assistant Coach of the Black Sticks Men at Rio will be supported by Central Hockey Legends and Olympians Shea McAleese and Caryn Paewai. Goal Keeper coach of Junior Black Sticks squads Steffan Fastier, returns to spend 1 on 1 time with a maximum of 8 lucky keepers.
The camp will also have some specialist coaches ensuring the most up to date coaching of skills, including Drag Flicking. Players will gain comprehensive hockey knowledge on and off the pitch but also experience a great camp environment with like-minded players.
For players, this could be an early, highly inspirational, Christmas gift!
